Hard Rock Hotel Penang Summerfest 2014 (21st – 22nd June 2014)!!!
It is that time again where Hard Rockers will soak up the sunlight, sipping beer or wine, enjoying live bands, chilling by the poolside and play games. Yes, if you still don’t know what I am talking about, it is SummerFest 2014, the annual event that Hard Rock Hotel host including Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Hard Rock Hotel Summerfest always happens in June and lasts for two days.
For Hard Rock Hotel Summerfest 2014, the dates are 21st & 22nd June 2014. Admission to Hard Rock Hotel Summerfest 2014 is RM20 per day. it is free for children below 4 years old. It is sort of like a CSR thingy for Hard Rock Hotel as all the proceeds go to charity. It is very nice of HRHPG for doing so. Imagine all the hard work, no profits earned and Kaya knows that the preparation for all these activities and event is no easy task! 🙂
Pizzeria, a restaurant near the poolside.
Pizzeria is an outdoor restaurant. So, it can be a bit stuffy when the weather is very hot. For Westerners, definitely they will welcome this but for locals, well, plan your time properly. 🙂
Herb Chicken
The chicken is very tender and not too soft. It cuts easily and blends well with the herbs. If you are not feeling well and wish to avoid hot and fried stuffs, do order this. The potatoes are great too. One thing to note is that most of HRHPG dishes are for two persons (for locals) and if you are a big eater, then just order one dish for one person. If not, be prepared to share with your partner, family members or friends.
Kaya really cannot get away from food blogging. Haha. It’s in the blood. Alright, let’s talk more about Hard Rock Hotel Penang Summerfest 2014. The ticket basically enables you to enter their pools and enjoy them legally. It is a good thing considering that the average price for HRHPG rooms are RM400++ to RM1,000++. You don’t always get to use their pool and related facilities.

Kaya managed to stay until 5pm++ because Kaya had things to do. Check out my photos that Kaya took during my Summerfest. Too bad Butter was not there. If not, Kaya would have jumped in and swim! 🙂

You can choose to read book and chill by the poolside, enjoying the live band. 🙂
Or you can play sand castle building with your children just like this mother and son. 🙂
HRHPG organises some games for the Summerfest goers. You have to register yourself in order to participate in their games. 🙂 This is Sumo Fighting game. I wonder where does HRHPG get these suits. So cute! 🙂

Well, that sums up my experience with Hard Rock Hotel Penang Summerfest 2014. It is definitely a hot and stuffy day. You need to be in the pool to fully enjoy the Summerfest or come after 4pm-5pm when the sunlight is less strong. Do remember to bring sun screen.
