KayaButter believe that many Penangnites have already known about this burger van. We heard that the Chinese uncle has been selling burger at the same exact spot for around 20 years++. He is famously known as the Uncle Burger, the Chinese Uncle Burger, the Hillside Burger, The Many Onion Burger and so on. KayaButter found out his name at his van and he is actually Mr Wong. 🙂

If you are coming from Jalan Tanjung Bungah, the Hillside burger van will be on your left. Once you have passed Caltex along Jalan Tanjung Bungah, you will come to a traffic light, turn left and drive along the road. Once you see Petron on your right, you will definitely notice Uncle Burger’s van on your right.

If you are coming from Sungai Kelian road, you will notice this luxurious super condo as you travel along the road. Uncle Burger’s van is just on your ride. Wanna know the secret to Uncle Burger’s burger? Read on.

The secret to Uncle Burger’s success lies to the usage of pan-fried slices of onions. With the addition of these slices of pan-fried onions, your burger tasting experience just goes up another notch. Very fragrant and nice tasting experience especially the crunchy onions. Coupled with the sweet tasting chicken patty, and either butter or margarine fried buns, the taste is awesome and very appetising. 🙂

Another thing to note is that Uncle Burger is clean and organised. Everything is in place and systematic. That’s a big plus as Butter is very particular with the cleanliness of eateries.

Look at the amount of fried onions. Haha. Super good stuffs!

Uncle Burger offers two variants for your burger. You can choose either chicken or beef patty. Then you can choose to add on either cheese or egg or both. Besides burgers, Uncle Burger does sell hotdog and also egg banjo. 🙂
