糖伯府 Tang Bo Fu Tong Park Fu All Seasons Place Farlim (9) 0

[Invited Review] 糖伯府 Tang Bo Fu/ Tong Park Fu @ All Seasons Place, Farlim!!!

This is Kaya’s 1st time visiting All Seasons Place, Farlim after passing the places for months whenever Kaya goes to give tuition to his student. Kaya is actually quite impressed with the beauty of All Seasons Place. The fluorescent light elevators are very attractive at night.

And this time, Kaya is invited to review 糖伯府 Tang Bo Fu Desserts Shop. 糖伯府 Tang Bo Fu introduced new dishes into their menu and I can tell you that they did things right this time. They expanded their menu to include main dishes and a lot more finger foods and desserts. Now you can dine or have your lunch there. The management employed a former 5-star chef to cook all the main dishes for them.

Best Popiah In Penang at Farlim 0

[NON-HALAL] The Best Popiah Ever in Penang?

Butter is a big fan of popiah. She will usually order popiah whenever she doesn’t feel like eating anything heavy. Kaya doesn’t usually eat popiah because it’s not that nice. Recently, KayaButter customer introduced us to a popiah stall in Bandar Baru Air Itam, Farlim. It’s damn nice. Butter said it’s the best she ever eaten and Kaya also agrees. Damn nice. We heard that the owner sells the popiah in the morning at Pulau Tikus market and comes over to Farlim in the afternoon to sell.

Lighthouse Coffee Georgetown Penang (7) 3

Last Pit-Stop of Penang Heritage Food Trail, Lighthouse Coffee!!!

The last pit-stop. Everyone is quite tense already because after this round, the winner of HTC Wildfire S will be decided. It’s a close competition between Kaya and another participant, Brandon See Toh. 12 points to 8 points. 🙂
Lighthouse Coffee is part of the Logan Heritage Building. It’s headed by Victor, Chief Barista & Roaster. It has a mission/slogan which is ‘Shine U on the World of Coffee’. Victor is trained Autralia with years of cafe experience. He uses the lighthouse as a symbol of enlightening the coffee industry with the correct method of preparing coffee and also the customers on how to really enjoy a good cup of coffee. It really takes skills and knowledge to really enjoy a good cup of coffee. I really salute Victor for his passion and mission. 🙂

Nostalgie Georgetown Penang (2) 0

4th Pit-Stop for the Penang Heritage Food Trail, Nostalgie

After Georgetown being awarded with UNESCO Heritage Award, a lot of boutique hotels, chic hostels, cafe and restaurants are slowly popping out. Here’s the latest addition, Nostalgie, a cafe cum boutique hotel. Nostalgie is a French word for nostalgia. The owners try to bring back our nostalgia during our younger days living in these pre-war houses. Nostalgie is managed by Jean Lee, Jason Lee and family and his childhood friend, Micheal.
With this in mind, the owners preserved all the characteristics of colonial architecture structures while enhancing it with modern amenities such as aircond, fans, lighting and so on.

This is our 4th pit-stop of Penang Heritage Food Trail.

Tong Pak Fu Hong Kong Desserts House (8) 6

Invited Review: Tong Pak Fu Hong Kong Dessert House 糖伯府港式糖水屋 @ Cantonment Road, Pulau Tikus, Penang

KayaButterToast is again invited to a food review. Hoo Hoo. 🙂 This time, Butter can’t make it because she’s not feeling well. Kaya went alone. Huhu 🙁 Anyhow, let’s introduce the place of food review.

There’s a new dessert house in Penang Island. The name is called Tong Pak Fu 糖怕府, a nice twist of name of the famous scholar & painter, Tang Yin 唐寅 or better known as Tong Pak Fu or Tong Bohu, 唐伯虎 in Mandarin. This scholar Tong Pak Fu is made famous among the mass people through the movie Flirting Scholar, 唐伯虎點秋香, a Hong Kong comedy film.
