Rejoice, Bayan Baru and nearby residents! There is a new and high quality cafe opening at Elit Avenue, Bayan City, a four-storey commercial park similar to e-Gate. As many cafes are mushrooming in Georgetown area, it is refreshing to have a cafe opening outside of Georgetown area. It is called St. Presso Coffee and run by a very committed and dedicated boss.
Guess what, a new bear is in town, in Queensbay Mall to be exact! It is not exactly a very huggable bear but it is something that will fill up your stomach and tease your taste buds! 🙂

Rejoice, Nutella lovers! There’s a rather new cafe in Georgetown area that serves a lot of Nutella-based dishes! Founded by cousins Matthew and Kian Tat, Love & Latte cafe serves coffee, Nutella, brunch such as toasts, pancakes, croissants and set meals at Love Lane, the infamous lovey-dovey lane in Penang, whereby the riches used to keep their mistresses there and flesh trades in the olden days! Now, many cafes, boutique hotels and hostels are sprouting at Love Lane and everywhere in Penang ever since Georgetown, Penang was awarded UNESCO Heritage Site.
Eld’s 22 is the latest new old restaurant in Gurney Paragon, Penang. You might wonder why KayaButter say that Eld’s 22 is a new old restaurant. Previously, this restaurant is called as Jarvie’s and the restaurant changed owner and the new owner decides to retain the same old restaurant but renamed it over his son’s name with Eld’s 22. Of course, the name is short-formed. 🙂 Fret not as the famous ramen burger introduced by Jarvie’s is still in the menu.
Starting with their humble flagship outlet in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Shunka Group has managed to expand their franchise to 8 outlets in Malaysia, namely 3 restaurant outlets in Penang (Bukit Mertajam, Butterworth and Burmah Road), 3 restaurant outlets in Perak (Parit Buntar, Kampar, Taiping), 1 restaurant outlet in Kedah which is at Aman Jaya, Sungai Petani and finally 1 restaurant outlet in Kuala Lumpur which is located at the high-end shopping mall, Publika. Solaris Dutamas. Shunka Japanese Restaurant at Jalan Burmah, Penang is their latest outlet.
Coming back with a bang after being closed for a month for renovation, Hameediyah is set to redefine and raise the bar of Indian Muslim food and the ambience. On the outside, Hameediyah Restaurant still maintains its rustic and heritage feel but make no mistake, the whole restaurant is now brighter, cleaner, neater and smarter now! The floors, the walls, the toilets and the kitchens are way cleaner than last time.
It has been a while that KayaButter paid a visit to our favourite Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee) at the Jelutong Market area at night.
KayaButter goes town area or what the locals used to call Georgetown, Tanjung to buy a new dog food for our Pomeranian, Cupid. The pet supplies shop is located at the corner of Jalan Talipon called Puppy Love Saloon. Too bad that it is closed at the time we reached there, near 8pm. Since we are in town area, we decide to go to Old Green House coffee shop for our favourite bah kut teh aka pork rib soup and chicken porridge.
