Selamat berpuasa to all my Muslim friends who are observing this ritual in this holy month. It is a month of cleansing for my Muslim friends especially their soul. This is also the month whereby non-Muslims will also get a chance to taste their mouth-watering Muslim food. The Sous Chef of G Hotel Gurney, Chef Harmizi cooks up some great dishes to tantalise your taste buds such as Nasi Briyani, Paha Kambing Percik Kasturi Sos, Ikan Keli Masak Kari, Ayam Piru Rendang Seri G and Ayam Masak Merah.
For June 2014, Eastin Hotel Penang will be introducing diverse selection of international cuisines from all over the world from China to Mexico under their buffet theme called Around the World in 80 Dishes. You will need roughly 5 visits to really taste all the 80 dishes of exotic cuisines from around the world. What KayaButter will be featuring is just a small part of the ’80 dishes’.

[Part 1] Noor & Dean’s Cafe Espresso Bar & Asian Fusion & Noordin Street House @ Noordin Street, Georgetown, Penang!
So, KayaButter were invited by TourDirections Penang, a directory portal of all things Penang that includes food, accommodation and places of attractions, for a food review session at Noor & Dean Cafe, located at Noordin Street (双裕楼) @ Lebuh Noordin. Butter can’t make it that day because she has a class at WOU that time. 🙁
This is one of the latest addition to the restaurants and food franchises that are available in Penang’s largest shopping mall, Queensbay Mall (QBM). It is not very new since The Little Nyonya Cuisine (TLNC) 小娘惹 has been around in Penang for many months already but new in the sense that TLNC 小娘惹 is a rather new face in QBM food scene.
Well, last Saturday, Butter and her coursemates went to G Hotel Gurney for their after exam gathering that had been postponed for a long while. Kaya tagged along. Hehe 🙂 G Hotel Gurney definitely is considered as the most contemporary and chic hotel with its bold and special designs. So, Kaya will not miss this chance to dine there!
Kaya has always been wanting to try this legendary nasi tomato (tomato rice) that has been touted as the best nasi tomato in Penang. And this nasi tomato stall only starts operating at 11pm and ends around 3am or when the food supply ends. 😛
