The Famous 鹿角巷 The Alley Finally Opens its 1st Store at Nagore Square, Penang!!!
It’s Time for Tea!
That’s the tagline for the famous 鹿角巷 The Alley that hails from Taichung, Taiwan. Currently, they have franchises all over the world.
It’s very famous now in Malaysia and attracting long queues in all of its outlets. Penangites are very lucky as they finally opened their 1st store in Penang island.
As it’s their 1st soft opening, the crowd is rather big. KayaButter have been to several soft openings before and the staffs have done quite well to move the queue and informed the customers that the wait will be around 1 hour+.
KayaButter ordered 2 cups of their No 1 top famous Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk 黑糖鹿丸鮮奶 and 1 cup of Royal No. 9 Milk Tea with Bubble 皇家9號奶茶.
While waiting, Kaya & Toast went around to check out their new store. It is a 2-storey store. It has quite a lot of seating on the ground floor and 1st floor.
Good news is that they have toilet on the 1st Floor. So, you do not need to go down to Ground Floor for your nature calls. Well done!
It took us around 1 hour to get our drinks ready. They served the Royal No. 9 Milk Tea with Bubble 皇家9號奶茶 1st as the server told Kaya that they need some time to prepare for their Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk.
Their milk tea has a richer and flavourful tea taste compared to Tealive and other bubble tea franchise in Penang. Definitely a winner here.
Finally, their famous Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk drinks are ready. Kaya & Toast went back to the car. Butter was waiting in the car while Netflixing (Eternal Love is her current addiction). The bubbles are really nice and fragrant compared to the bubble in their milk tea. It has the rich flavour of the brown sugar. Butter commented that the milk is not as flavourful and the brown sugar is not as rich as the one she had in SS15, Subang Jaya. Kaya has never taken the drink before. So, no comment.
Upon reaching home, Butter took her drink and she said, yes, that’s the right one. Kaya guessed that it could be the teething problem of a new store. It will take a while for them to get things right.
