ABC or for Kaya, I prefer to call Ais Kacang which is our local famous Malaysian Ice Shave with Condiments. You can choose which condiments that you prefer. And you can also shave the ice by yourself, of course with the permission of the staff in charge. That’s why it is called Action Station. 🙂

Chicken Shawarma with Pita Bread and Condiments. One of Malays latest favorite. Not so strong in taste and flavor. Good for those who are looking for something not to spicy or strong in flavor.Hard Rock Hotel Bintang Rock Buffet & Rock Platter (10)

Beef Satay.

Remember to take those which has been prepared hot by the chef to prevent hardness of the satay. Kaya and Butter took those which has been prepared for a while already and it was quite hard to chew but still they tasted great. Satay has become an expensive snack or finger food. One stick of chicken satay can easily costs RM0.60. So many will ‘attack’ this dish for sure. Be prepared to queue for your satay fix.
Hard Rock Hotel Bintang Rock Buffet & Rock Platter (13)Roti Canai with Dhaal Curry. Also another Malaysian favorite food. Usually taken in the morning but sometimes late at night too. 🙂

Hard Rock Hotel Bintang Rock Buffet & Rock Platter (14)buka puasa is never complete without desserts. Assorted Malay Kuih and Kurma.

Hard Rock Hotel Bintang Rock Buffet & Rock Platter (21)And if you think that the desserts are a bit too international, don’t worry. We still Rojak Buah to tantalize your taste buds. They even have traditional condiments and dips such as Sambal Belacan (Spicy Local Shrimp Paste), Budu (Anchovy Paste with Shallot and Chili Dip) and Sambal Cincaluk (Prawn with Lime and Chili Pickle).

And if you are not looking for buffet as your buka puasa, you can try their gigantic sized Rock Platter 2013. It is a very worthy and money-well-spent dinner set. The portions are really big and each of the dishes served tasted very ‘sedaaaaaaaaap‘ (which means tasty in Malay).

I don’t know why Hard Rock Hotel Penang did not differentiate the names of the two Rock Platters but it is quite obvious the difference. So you just have to mention the main course names and the waiter/waitress will know. Many bloggers love the Mini Apple Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. You should try that!

Hard Rock Hotel Penang has a lot of promotions in store in the month of Ramadan.
