Last week, KayaButter needed to go over to Butterworth to service one of our Dr Tron customers. Since the customer stays in Taman Perkasa, Raja Uda, Kaya has the excuse to pay a visit to the famous Butterworth Yam Rice & Salty Vegetable Soup. Butter is not so keen of eating yam rice and especially the salty vegetable soup because of health concerns.
In conjunction with the Songkran Festival in April 2014, Eastin Hotel Penang is offering to all its hotel guests and public, the Tantalizing Thai! Get ready to excite your taste buds with the spicy, sour, sweet and salty flavors of Thai cuisine! This is one of my favorite food of all time! KayaButter love Thai food! Good news, Penangnites! You can now enjoy sizzling sausages, sipping your favorite soda while enjoying the infinity pool at G Pool Bar, 3 floor of Malaysia’s most stylish address, G Hotel Gurney. And what’s more, you get to dip into the infinity pool once you purchase your choice of the sausage. 🙂 A good deal right? Without even having to book a room to enjoy their infinity pool.
It is a really sunny and warm Sunday. Kaya & Butter, both decides to hang out at Gurney Paragon. We had a light breakfast earlier this morning before going to church. Therefore, we are basically quite hungry when we reach Gurney Paragon in the afternoon. There are plenty of people at the mall today, maybe due to the warm weather outside. We are craving for Japanese food recently, so we agree to have a Japanese cuisine marathon this afternoon, by visiting Rakuzen, Sushi Zanmai and Pasta Zanmai.
Starting from 1st until 31st March 2014, Eastin Hotel Penang will ‘import’ HAPA Master Chef (Asian) award winner chef, Chef Ricky Hui from the multiple award winning Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine Retaurant that comes from their sister hotel which is Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya to prepare delectable, mouth watering, lip-smacking Japanese food. KayaButter believe that many are wondering where is this mural painting of YAB Lim Guan Eng eating Hokkien Mee, after seeing them in Instagrams or Facebook. After some searching and asking around, KayaButter finally found the place. This is not the same as the one in Penang 3D Museum called Made in Penang. That one is YAB Lim Guan Eng having coffee and wearing white shirt. Let KayaButter show you where. 🙂
Their December 2013 theme for their buffet is International Flavors and the chefs are introducing famous dishes around the globe. They have dishes from France, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Korea, India, Hong Kong, Brazil, China and America. How awesome is that! But do take note that the dishes are rotated on a daily basis during the month of December and not all dishes featured here will available all together on a same day.
