After blogging about TGV Gurney Paragon Open House 2014 event, Kaya went together with Kaya’s mum to experience the IMAX 3D and Beanie Hall at TGV Gurney Paragon Open House. We reached there at around 830pm++, so there were no longer free popcorn and drink and also the appearance of Nico and Pedro, the two birds in Rio 2 movie.
And good news is that TGV Gurney Paragon is ready and they are having their open house on Thursday, 3rd April 2014 from 12pm-9pm. Holy cow! There will definitely be a lot of people. At 1st, Kaya thought that there will be free movies for all of us who attend but sadly there will be movies but movie trailers. Ouch… 🙁
Last week, KayaButter needed to go over to Butterworth to service one of our Dr Tron customers. Since the customer stays in Taman Perkasa, Raja Uda, Kaya has the excuse to pay a visit to the famous Butterworth Yam Rice & Salty Vegetable Soup. Butter is not so keen of eating yam rice and especially the salty vegetable soup because of health concerns.
Kaya has always been wanting to try this legendary nasi tomato (tomato rice) that has been touted as the best nasi tomato in Penang. And this nasi tomato stall only starts operating at 11pm and ends around 3am or when the food supply ends. 😛

It is a really sunny and warm Sunday. Kaya & Butter, both decides to hang out at Gurney Paragon. We had a light breakfast earlier this morning before going to church. Therefore, we are basically quite hungry when we reach Gurney Paragon in the afternoon. There are plenty of people at the mall today, maybe due to the warm weather outside. We are craving for Japanese food recently, so we agree to have a Japanese cuisine marathon this afternoon, by visiting Rakuzen, Sushi Zanmai and Pasta Zanmai.
Starting from 1st until 31st March 2014, Eastin Hotel Penang will ‘import’ HAPA Master Chef (Asian) award winner chef, Chef Ricky Hui from the multiple award winning Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine Retaurant that comes from their sister hotel which is Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya to prepare delectable, mouth watering, lip-smacking Japanese food. Project Occupy Beach Street takes place at Beach Street every Sunday. As it is a no-car-day for Penang every Sunday, partial of the road are closed down for people to walk around, cycling and other non-car-activities, such as performances. Be sure you go early or you have to park your car further and walk here.
Hard Rock Hotel is synonymous with quality and great hospitality and service. KayaButter’s food review sessions with them never fail to impress us. The place is very vibrant and modern, the staffs are always smiling and energetic and the food? High quality. You will rarely go wrong with their food. 🙂 This is a testimony from us after attending their food review for many occasions. 🙂
