[Buy 1 Free 1 Set] David Brown Restaurant & Tea Terrace @ Penang Hill, Air Itam, Penang
Before the World War II, Captain Francis Light cultivated strawberries at Strawberry Hill, which is the highest peak of Penang Hill. This is where David Brown Restaurant & Tea Terrace now located.
This restaurant is a perfect quality British-styled restaurant which served a mass selections of delicious British cuisine as well as Penang specialties. These include hors d’oeuvers, steaks and chops, fresh puddings, pies, traditional roasts and vegetarian selection.
The setting of the restaurant is perfect for important life events such as wedding, birthday, family dinner, parties, company functions, seminar, product launching, training, management meeting and annual dinner.
Mr. Hanson is the friendly general manager of the restaurant that keeps us well informed with a lot of detailed information regarding the restaurant’s history and food. The above is the entrance of the Strawberry Hill.
At the middle of the Strawberry Hill is the Sky Terrace, where you can spend the whole afternoon sitting there alone or with friends, sipping a cup of coffee and taking some snacks, while enjoying the fantastic view of Penang landscape. It is the highest bar in town.
David Brown’s restaurant is at the peak of the Strawberry Hill. It has a lovely pond with pretty water lilies, which is surrounded by greeneries.
You can dine outside at the garden, closing to the nature, listening to the chirping of the birds and the songs of the insects. The cool weather here is perfect for garden dining.
They are trying to revive the planting of strawberry within the area of the restaurant. Look, I spot a cute little strawberry!
The restaurant is well-lit with romantic dim light. Looks like air conditioner is not needed here.
