Today, KayaButter are going to introduce to our readers, the all-time famous Loh Mee in Penang. Loh Mee is a Chinese dish believed to be created by a chef at Hock Choon Kee in Ulu Yam, Selangor. He modified a dish that he had tasted in Singapore many years ago.
Run by 3 brothers and 1 sisters, the COC Spoof burger stall just operated starting in June 2015. They are full of entrepreneurial spirit and creative to use COC as their theme. KayaButter hope that Supercell will be happy that there is a stall in Penang using COC theme and don’t take any legal rights action. 😛 The way the team pair and name the burgers are very matching and KayaButter love it very much! If you are staying or working around Island Glades, then you are in for a treat for your dinner and maybe your loved ones too if they loved fried chicken. 🙂 The stall is manned by a group of young Malays who really know how to cook great fried chicken with special recipe of spices from Kelantan.
It’s Sunday and KayaButter takes this opportunity to visit the famous Batu Ferringhi Starbucks Coffee. KayaButter have seen many photos that have been shared in our Facebook about this Starbucks Coffee.
Kaya has been contemplating to sell off our Nikon D7000 to buy a Micro Four-Third camera for a while already. Kaya was eyeing for either Sony NEX series or Panasonic GF series due to the weight factor and WiFi capabilities. Nikon D7000 is seriously very heavy compared to these cameras. KayaButter felt it the most when we attend events that requires us to carry that DSLR for long hours. Another thing is the inability to transfer some of the photos to share directly at our Facebook page.
This is the stall that Kaya has patronised ever since Kaya is around 10 years old if I am not mistaken. It is very famous among the Georgetown dwellers. Economy char bee hoon which literally translated into fried vermicelli is a dish which some say they will take only when they are very broke yet there are some who really love this dish a lot.
Before the World War II, Captain Francis Light cultivated strawberries at Strawberry Hill, which is the highest peak of Penang Hill. This is where David Brown Restaurant & Tea Terrace now located.
